The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program at Janaprabha College, Ramtek is a four-year undergraduate degree course spread over eight semesters designed by Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University as per the UGC guidelines to equip students with the foundational skills and knowledge required in the field of computer science and information technology. The Janaprabha College is approved by the Government of Maharashtra Department of Higher and Technical Education and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), this program is affiliated with Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU), Nagpur. The university is also UGC-approved under Sections 12B and 2(f) and holds a prestigious NAAC A+ accreditation.
Janaprabha College is located in the rural area of Bhojapur, Ramtek Taluka, Nagpur District, the college aims to provide advanced educational facilities to students from marginalized communities, including women, SC, ST, OBC, VJ, NT, SBC, and economically weaker sections. Scholarship facilities are available as per the Government of Maharashtra’s guidelines, making quality education accessible to all.

Key subjects include Programming Languages (C, C++, Java, Python,R); Database Management Systems (DBMS); Web Development; Data Structures and Algorithms; Operating Systems; Computer Networks; and Software Engineering. In addition to core subjects, the program includes project work, internships, and seminars to give students hands-on experience and exposure to the real-world IT environment.
The key objectives of the BCA program are to build a strong foundation in computer applications and IT fundamentals;
